He's just taking an LOA from his Chairmanship. Not resigning. Not much to celebrate there. Till he has to step down from the Ways and Means committee though, THEN I'll crack a beer or two to celebrate.

You have to ask? I'm a stinking partisan remember?
Of course, maybe you don't remember me being glad scum like Mark Foley was forced out. I mean, that was SO LONG AAO..
Maybe you don't remember. Maybe the other stinking partisans in here will want to foist a revised version of history out there and I get to be the bad guy again. OOOOooooo, I can hardly wait. The anticipation is killing me.

I'll be happy when Charlie Rangel goes as well.  I used to like him, but like a lot of guys in office too long, it got to him and he yielded to greed and power.
But I never heard a whisper from you until now about Mark Foley, nothing about Larry Craig, and, right here, right in this thread, not a peep about Ensign.  You only enjoy looking for "gotcha!" exposes about liberals and Dems.

You're a convenient stinking partisan.  That's someone who's a partisan until he gets called out on it, whereupon he's no longer a partisan.

This isn't about issues, it's about a delusional worldview formed by people who listen to a bunch of hucksters who have successfully looted the country while persuading about half the people that the government was doing the looting and giving it in the form of "handouts" to people who didn't deserve it.   - digby

Party matters nil to me.  I am simply overjoyed ANYTIME I see one of these lying, cheating scumbuckets bite the dust.  We all should be glad and stop arguing over which party has had the most.  What is important is that these lying sacks of shit are exposed and removed from office.

I will say this about rangle.  It is despicable the way pelosi has REFUSED to address the FACT that rangle is a liar, a thief and has misused the power entrusted to him by the voters.  Of course, if she does that she leaves her own lying, despicable life open to scrutiny.

Stop arguing party and let's all agree that come November, we need to clean house.  These rats fleeing a sinking ship just make it easier come November.

99.9% of it will be simply replacing one rat with another. What we need in Washington and in State and local government as well, is rat poison in industrial quantities.

That's pretty good.  "Party matters nil to me".  After which you proceed to bitch about a crook-Democrat.  I'm sure you were equally outraged about Tom DeLay when his transgressions were brought to light, and called insistently for his ouster as well.  Not.

From the person who said "The fact that newt is scum was never my argument.  I do not support him.  I have never supported him.  Would I vote for him?  Yes, if they ran another barack obama against him."

Get smart. Start practicing super-brain yoga now and tell all the people you know so that we will be prepared for the elections in November. Then again if this really works it could be the end of the fake electoral process and an end to the lie of representative democracy. Here ya go. i hope this changes the tenor of this board.

There's just no reasoning with someone who posesses a selective memory as you have.

Memnton wasn't even here when that stuff was current, so it isn't really about selective memory.

If Menton wasn't even here when these things were happeing, how could Menton have never heard me say anything at all much less condemnation of scummy Repubs.
BOOM, caught in a lie Menton is.
Lets wait around for the spin (aka squirming) on how Menton didn't just lie to the whole board.

Oh, piss off.  I have been clear from day one that when it comes to lying, cheating scum, I give a crap less what party they are.  I have never defended DeLay, but I will  call pelosi a deceitful shedevil.  She went after DeLay for all she was worth, but has continuously looked the other way for rangle.

If he wasn't here, then he certainly is not lying.

You get seriously puffed up over 'lies' when you have told a few yourself and when when many of other people's 'lies' are mistakes or hyperbole but not blatant distortions or untruths.

Gee, Greenie, just check post #2 right here on this thread!  I commented about a smarmy Repub and a smarmy Dem in 2 brief sentences.  You chose to single out the Dem in your post!  (You still haven't said boo about Ensign)

And then you were caught in a lie by another poster when you were cited (The evidence remains on the board in perpetuity) talking about how you would vote for Newt over a Dem.  Why don't you just admit that you can't say anything bad about a Repub, it goes against your grain?

You weren't talking to me in post#2.  Why would I comment?   I was caught in a lie?  What lie?  Did I say I'd vote for Newt over a dem?  Yes.  I never denied that.  I think I have also stated that while I voted for mccain I do not like him.  Hated voting for him.  I also dislike bill o'reilly and rush limbaugh.  I have also spoken negatively about schwarzeneggar.  He's a republican, right?
ensign is a lying horndog and I hope they prosecute to the fullest.  I put him right up there with old teddyboy...well, maybe not quite THAT bad.
Name all of them and I will agree that they are all despicable POS and need to be voted out.  Will we get better next time?  Maybe, maybe not, but I'll lay money on one thing...they will know they are being watched.

Then how did Menton know I said nothing (not true of course) and you defend him. Mentons your newest BFF I see. No wonder you gravitated away from me. You prefer Beta's.

It seems as though, even though you "hate" some republicans, you would still vote for them over a democrat.  Making your statement that "party matters nil to me", seem somewhat dishonest.

Don't forget her proud declaration that she would happily say or do anything to benefit her team, even if such things were untrue.

Not quite what I said.  You are referring to a statment I made back on the old PSF Board during the GWB/Kerry race.  I said I'd do or say whatever it took to keep kerry out of the White House.  algore might have been mentioned also.  I did you a favor if anything I did helped keep old al away from the Presidency.  After all, he is a proven liar.  Where is he anyhow?  Anyone seen him?

Seriously Greenie - 'proven liar'?  Unlike the GWB White House with a whole string of now-proven lies about Saddam Hussein and WMD and Al Qaeda etc etc etc?  Be as anti-Gore and anti-Kerry and anti-Democrat as you wish, but using the truthfulness of ANYBODY in public office as your yardstick will lead to the end of just about every single political career there is.  (And, no I'm not defending lying....)

Where in my post did I defend GWB?  We weren't discussing GWB.  Jenner is bringing up a statement I made regarding kerry and possibly gore.
